Your region has the heart, the leadership, and the drive to lead rural America forward. Now’s your chance to become a pilot region in the development of the Rural Livability Index (RLI)—a groundbreaking effort to showcase and elevate rural quality of life across the country.

We’re inviting a limited number of REMCs  from across a 10-state area to stand up, speak out, and help us create the new standard for rural visibility, connectivity, and growth.This 3-year initiative will be transformative — and we need to know if your team plans to apply.

What You're Committing To

Your video submission doesn’t need to be perfect — it just needs to be genuine, clear, and from the heart of your region. Use this as your opportunity to show us your passion, potential, and readiness to lead.

In 3–5 minutes, briefly highlight:

  • Why your REMC and region are positioned to lead?

What gives your team the readiness, reach, or mindset to be a pioneer in this movement?

  • What makes your rural communities special?

Share the unique strengths, stories, or characteristics that make your area worth spotlighting.

  • What's your REMCs vision for the future?

How do you see this initiative making a lasting difference in your region — for residents, businesses, and beyond?
